CanadaPay is a marketing and payment technology company based in Vancouver BC, Canada, that has partnered with the two largest Chinese mobile payment platforms, WeChat Pay and Alipay. We aim to connect local merchants with Chinese tourists and new immigrants who now represent the world's largest spending demographic.

With these two payment options and targeted marketing, Chinese tourists and local residents will be able to buy goods in Canada with their accounts from China and pay in RMB. Local merchants would be paid in CAD funds like normal. Why WeChat Pay & Alipay?
WeChat Pay is growing at an exponential rate. It has the backing of China's largest social networking app, WeChat, which claims close to 900 million active monthly users globally. That number is growing at a rapid pace and will soon break the billion user mark.
Alipay had the biggest market share in China with 400 million users and control of just under half of China's online payment market at the end of 2016.
Combined they handled 72% (Alipay 39% & WeChat Pay 33%) of the mobile payment transactions in China at the end of 2016
